Cabrillo Credit Union's Support for Baker to Vegas

Cabrillo Credit Union proudly reaffirms its long-standing commitment to supporting law enforcement professionals through its sponsorship of the Baker to Vegas Border Patrol Teams. For over a decade, Cabrillo has been a dedicated sponsor of this prestigious event, providing financial assistance and resources to participating teams.

This year marks another milestone in Cabrillo's partnership with Baker to Vegas. While in the past, Cabrillo has sponsored up to 10 teams, this year, the focus was on quality over quantity. Cabrillo proudly supported four teams, including an all-woman's Border Patrol Team and the BP Centennial Team.

The Baker to Vegas Relay holds significant importance for Cabrillo Credit Union. Recognizing the demanding nature of the work performed by Department of Homeland Security members, Cabrillo sees events like this relay as opportunities to boost morale and foster camaraderie among law enforcement professionals. Witnessing the dedication and teamwork displayed by the participants is truly inspiring.

As a sponsor, Cabrillo's involvement goes beyond financial support. The credit union provides essential resources such as chase vehicles, accommodations, team shirts, and identification materials like magnets and flags. Additionally, Cabrillo ensures that the primary Border Patrol Team (BORTAC Team) is equipped with necessities like towels, sunscreen, water bottles, and gift cards.

This year was a special year for a few reasons. The BORTAC Team was made up of the top agents out of all of Border Patrol. Historically, it's only been the San Diego agents, but this year, they recruited their best from stations across the country. It was being supported by the leadership of the Artesia Training Facility.
